Alien Knights

Chapter 658: Karin

In the night, Marcus and Karin escaped from the necromancer's lair and came to an Abbasid Empire barracks above the ground.

Putting his huge body into the darkness in the corner, Marcus wrapped Karin tightly around his chest with his cloak, watching nervously at the soldiers moving away above his head.

   "I can't breathe anymore."

Hearing the whisper of the woman in his arms, Marcus loosened his cloak in a hurry, giving Karin some breathing space.

Karin, with a black cloth over her eyes, finally asked her own question: "What on earth do you want to do?"

Marcus wrote in Karin's palm: "Help you."

   Karin asked again: "Why?"

Marcus was silent for a long time, hesitatingly wrote: "I don't know."

Karin sighed helplessly, temporarily gave up her intention to ask, and asked: "Why can't my ability be used?"

Marcus thought for a while, and pulled the handcuffs and fetters from Karin with his hands.

Karin raised her hands in annoyance, and said solemnly, "Help me open!"

  Marcus hesitated.

did not wait for a response, Karin guessed the other's worries, and said directly: "I'm already blind, where else can I go?!"

Marcus scratched his head, and then removed Karin's handcuffs and ankles.

Kicking these strange, stone-like shackles aside, Karin touched the hands and feet that were free from the bondage, first closed her eyes, and entered the soul space. After a few seconds, the expression on her face was gone. Nervous and restless.

Karin hid in Marcus's arms again: "Going north, on the ground below a high wall, the stone is laid out in a circle, and there is a broken gap."

Marcus lowered his body, took Karin, and carefully shuttled through the barracks of the Abbasid Empire through the darkness, and quickly found the stone mark under the high wall of the camp.

"Pick off those weeds and sand. There is a hole under the wall for a person to drill out."

Markus Yiyan removed the debris and found the hole in Karin's mouth.

The entrance of the hole seemed a bit small for Marcus's size, but with his strange power, the entrance of the hole was quickly doubled.

took Karin out of the cave in the military camp, and Marcus finally came to the street.

It is still late at night, everything is quiet, only a few dog barks can only be heard occasionally.

"There should be a spice shop with colorful curtains hanging at the door on this street. Walk in from the alley next to the shop."

Marcus followed Karin's directions and walked into the alley.

"At the end of the alley there is a path down, leading to the canal."

Marcus held Karin in the night and found the path at the end of the alley.

But the muddy path was too slippery. Marcus didn't pay attention to his feet, and rolled and fell down the **** with Karin.

Karin got up with difficulty, patted the muddy water on her body, and said softly, "I'm fine, keep going."

Marcus began to look around and found a piece of hemp rope thrown on the side of the road. Regardless of Karin's objection, he tied her directly behind her. Only then did Marcus descend all the way towards the lower reaches of the city canal.

Lying on Marcus’s back, Karin was confirming the route in the soul space, while commanding: “On the wall on the right hand side, there is a five-pointed star painted with charcoal. Go up from there, and there is a Climb up the broken steps from there."

Marcus took Karin from the side wall of the city canal and climbed to a dilapidated warehouse.

Karin patted Marcus on the shoulder and said softly, "Let me down."

Walking to the locked door of the warehouse, Karin knocked out a signal of three long and two short.

Soon, a voice came from inside: "Who is knocking on the door?"

Karin whispered: "I have ordered a good wine to be sent to the north."

   "What kind of wine?"

   "Barley, alfalfa and four-leaf clover."

The warehouse door opened, and a middle-aged businessman wearing a turban raised a torch, saw Karin's burned face, was stunned for a moment, and then asked uncertainly: "Are you Lord Foreman?"

Karin pulled the cloak down a bit, covering her face: "You should all have received news from Rachel, I will leave here tonight."

The middle-aged businessman nodded: "No problem, our caravan will leave the city at dawn, and the soldiers at the gate will be prepared, as long as..."

From the corner of his eye, he glanced at Marcus behind Karin. The middle-aged businessman was so startled that he didn't finish his words. He stretched his hand to the weapon at his waist: "Oh my God, what is this?! Lord Foreman, Get out of the way!"

Karin drank the opponent's action, and said in a deep voice: "He is with me!"

Ignoring the other party's question, Karin made a gesture to beckon the other party to lead the way.

Came to a place in the warehouse similar to a bookkeeping room, the middle-aged businessman went to arrange matters for the convoy, and Karin and Marcus were finally able to rest for a while.

leaning his back on Marcus, Karin said, "Now I can finally ask you a few questions."

"First of all, why are you saving me?"

This question kept Marcus silent for a long time, maybe he didn't know the answer himself~lightnovelpub.net~ Karin analyzed: "You are with Myris, which shows that you are also a necroman. Whether you are masters and servants. It’s still at the superior and inferior. You defy the order and saved me. There must be a good reason."

Marcus took Karin's hand and wrote crookedly: "Kalin, be alive."

Karin threw away his hand and said angrily: "What kind of answer is this? Sympathy?"

Marcus once again took Karin's hand, and once again stubbornly wrote: "Kalin, be alive."

This time, Karin didn't throw his hand away, rubbed the other's handwriting repeatedly, and said thoughtfully: "I don't know why, you make me feel a little familiar."

Marcus quickly let go of Karin and hid in a corner of the room, as if he had heard something terrible.

Karin desperately recalled all the past in her mind, trying to find the familiar feeling in her memory, where it came from.

   But, she failed.

This feeling is like a flashing ghost, passing quickly in front of her eyes, and then disappearing.

The time left for her to think is not long. Soon, the middle-aged businessman walked into the room and said to Karin: "Master Foreman, the caravan is ready."

Karin struggled to get up and limped to his feet.

The middle-aged businessman tilted his head and looked at Marcus with a frown: "Master Foreman, what should people do with this...?"

Karin turned her head in the direction of Marcus, thought for a few seconds, and said, "Take him and walk together."
