In mid-August, the exploration fleet established the first port in the north of Jinwan, Huwan Port, on the east bank of the wide lagoon. The location here, in the later Humboldt Bay (Humboldt Bay), is also the largest seaport in northern California. The reason for its German name is that it was rediscovered by German explorer Friedrich von Humboldt in the early 19th century. As for the aboriginal name of this bay, no one knows it in later generations.
