Confession (Ying Cheng)
Chapter 15: Confession
Xu Sui passed the band-aid, Zhou Jingze took it and put it in her pocket, looking at her: "Have you eaten?"
"No." Xu Sui was startled, and subconsciously said these two words.
Zhou Jingze nodded, his voice hoarse: "Then eat with me."
"Ah, okay." Xu Suiying said, and at the same time said three excuses to Hu Qianxi in his heart.
Zhou Jingze stuck in his pocket and walked forward. Xu Sui noticed that a white plastic bag was hooked on his tail finger, which faintly reveals medicinal liquor. Zhou Jingze walked forward a few steps, and saw that no one was following, stopped and looked back at her.
Xu Sui immediately followed. She wanted to ask something like "Is the injury serious", but his air pressure was relatively low tonight, and from what position did she ask? Thinking of this, the words came to my lips and swallowed again.
The two brought them to a dumpling shop, which was about to close. The proprietress stood in front of the pot and yawned. The steam made her eyes red all night.
"Xiao Zhou, are you here?" The lady boss said hello with a smile.
"Yes, how is business today?" Zhou Jingze asked.
The proprietress rubbed her eyes and said, "It's good today, it's cold, and there are more takeaways, and I'm still a little too busy." Zhou Jingze put one hand in his pocket and said with a smile: "Thank you."
Zhou Jingze raised his hand and pointed to a not far away, asking her to sit down. Xu Sui sat down, took out a paper towel and wiped the table, then looked over.
Zhou Jingze stood there and spoke to the proprietress: "Two bowls of dumplings."
Zhou Jingze sat down on the opposite side of her and pressed her hand on the table with a clear skeleton, not knowing what she was thinking. He was not a talkative person at first, and Xu Sui was not very good at talking, and embarrassment spread between the two.
The lady proprietress brought two bowls of steaming dumplings, and then put two tea eggs on a bone dish and brought them to the table with a hearty voice: "It's closing, for you."
"Thank you." Zhou Jingze said politely.
A bowl full of dumplings was served in front of Xu Sui. She took a small bottle of seasoning and poured a lot of vinegar into it like she didn't need money. When Zhou Jingze saw this, he raised his eyebrows: "So sour?"
"Tune down the flavor." Xu Sui explained.
"You can try," Xu Sui said with a smile, "but you just add a little bit."
After all, she is not an ordinary person's way of eating, and ordinary people's stomachs can't resist it. After hearing her suggestion, Zhou Jingze added a little vinegar, and sure enough, his appetite improved.
The two sat face to face to eat together, Xu Sui saw that he was in a bad mood, and tried to search for the jokes and some stalks she had read on the Internet.
"Take a few questions for you," Xu Sui looked at him with his eyes open, in a serious tone, "Why did the frog lose to the dog in the swimming competition?"
Zhou Jingze:?
"Because the frog fouled the breaststroke."
Zhou Jing twitched the corner of his mouth, Xu Sui was not discouraged, and continued to ask: "Why can Xiao Wang whistle leisurely while brushing his dentures?"
Zhou Jingze:?
A pear vortex on Xu Sui's cheek appeared: "Because he is brushing dentures!"
…
Zhou Jingze walked out of the shop after checking out. The people on the snack street had long since disappeared. He stuck in his pocket and walked forward. Xu Sui kept his head down and kept thinking, which link went wrong? It's obviously funny.
Xu Sui thought of something, catching up with Zhou Jingze and patted him on the shoulder: "If this is the case, then I must use my nirvana."
"What?" Zhou Jingze turned around.
Xu Sui was wearing a sweater today. She didn't know when she put her hat on, her arms tucked into her sleeves, her eyes widened, her fingers pulled her lower eyelids and made a grimace at him.
But her eyes were big and clean, and she was wearing a white sweater, without any shock.
The milk is fierce and cute.
"What are you doing?" Zhou Jingze raised his eyebrows.
"Is playing a ghost, doesn't it look like?" Xu Sui's eyes were blank.
"What the hell."
"Happy ghost." Xu Sui replied.
This answer made Zhou Jingze couldn't help laughing. His chest trembled and his breath couldn't hold back. He showed the first real smile tonight, not the kind of mechanically touching the corners of his mouth.
Xu Sui effortlessly pulled her arm off her clothes, and she seemed to say to herself: "You finally laughed."
He was finally happy.
Xu Sui and Zhou Jingze walked back to school quickly, went back to the bedroom and opened the door, 1017 ran out and got under her feet. Xu Sui didn't have time to take care of the orange cat, and rushed to Hu Qianqian who was lying on the bed to apologize: "Sixi's embarrassment, something has been delayed."
"It's okay, thank you for your hard work."
After Xu Sui took a shower and went to bed, he took out his mobile phone and found that he had received a text message.
From zjz: [Thank you tonight. 】
Xu Sui edited "you're welcome" in the dialog box and thought it was too official. He deleted it and sent a new one: [It's okay, are you there yet? "】
The screen of the phone I was holding tightly in my hand turned on again after two minutes, zjz: [Here, I just took a shower. 】
The corners of Xu Sui's mouth curled up, and he prudently replied: [That good night. 】
Xu Sui had a good night's sleep. Compared with her good mood, Hu Qianqian's mood hasn't been so good recently. Sheng Nanzhou had called several times, and none of them were ignored by her.
He asked someone to deliver snacks several times, but it didn't work, but Hu Qianxi turned them away.
When Xu Sui and Hu Xixi went to buy milk tea outside of school, she tentatively asked her if she was not going to Yuan Liangsheng Nanzhou. The lady replied: [I don't forgive if you kill me, he was too much this time. 】
Sheng Nanzhou usually runs on Hu Qianqian. This time he knew he was a bit too late, but Hu Qianxi wouldn't answer his phone and no one would be able to see him, so he begged Zhou Jingze to invite everyone to eat. Let Xu Sui take Hu Qianxi out and apologize to him face to face.
Zhou Jingze agreed and kicked him by the way: "I usually ask you to stop bullying her."
"Yes, Lord Zhou, no-uncle, I was wrong." Sheng Nanzhou knelt down.
Sitting on a chair, Zhou Jingze leaned over the mobile phone on the table and sent a message to Xu Sui, teaching her to lie.
When Hu Qianxi heard Xu Sui saying that Zhou Jingze won a flying competition and took the prize money and wanted to invite everyone to dinner, she was dubious: "I'm just a freshman, what can I do to fly!"
"Helicopter flight, doesn't he... have a private photo?" Xu Sui was at a loss for a moment, but fortunately, he thought of a reason temporarily.
"Okay, Sheng Nanzhou won't come." Hu Qianqian was trimming her fingernails.
According to what Zhou Jingze taught her, Xu Sui would not believe a lie until she looked at Xixi's eyes, so she forced herself to look directly at the eldest lady, and said calmly, "No."
Hu Qianxi finally agreed to go to dinner.
On Wednesday evening, Xu Sui and Hu Qianxi arrived at a European hotel in the city according to the address given by Zhou Jingze. As soon as they walked in, the waiter with a red bow tie greeted them and led them to swipe their cards to take the elevator. They went all the way to the 23rd floor.
The elevator door opened, hand-made imported carpets with intricate patterns were laid straight under the feet, and the glass warm lamp hung in the middle. Xu walked forward with Hu Qianqian. She looked at the people coming and going around, and their dresses showed nobleness and decentness.
Suddenly, she felt that Zhou Jingze was really in a superior family background, and she was an outstanding person, and the gap between her and him was real.
The two came to Box No. 2309, and Hu Qianxi pushed the door in. At a glance, she saw a mousse cake she liked in the middle of the table, and Sheng Nanzhou who she wanted to punch.
Hu Qianqian reacted and subconsciously wanted to scuffle Xu Sui, shouting: "Okay, Xu Sui, you still learned to lie."
"I—" Xu Sui wanted to hide, and subconsciously ran behind Zhou Jingze.
Zhou Jingze's eyes were forbidden, and he said coldly, "I taught it."
"Okay," Zhou Jingze put his hands in his pockets, then tilted his head to look at Xu Sui behind him, "accompany me down to buy a pack of cigarettes."
Zhou Jingze meant to leave space for the two of them. Xu Sui understood and followed him downstairs.
The two came to the convenience store downstairs. There was a cold breeze. Zhou Jingze went in and bought a pack of cigarettes. When checking out at the front desk, Xu Sui's stomach screamed.
"39.8." The waiter in the orange vest said.
As soon as Zhou Jingze paid out, he glanced at the slightly red eartips and smiled lazily, "Give her some oden."
Xu Sui stood on the spot and was about to wave his hand to refuse. Zhou Jingze turned around and took out a cigarette from the cigarette case, bit it in his mouth, the receiver made a "pop", and at the same time passing by her, a low voice rang in his ears.
"Order yourself what you want, kid."
Zhou Jingze went out to smoke, and Xu Sui sat at the convenience store's bar to eat oden. She ordered two bunches of meatballs, a bunch of kelp, a piece of ham, and other small snacks, and sat there to finish it.
While eating, he secretly looked at the man smoking a cigarette not far from the glass window.
After Xu Sui finished eating, Zhou Jingze raised his hand to let her come out. When Xu Sui walked in front of him, he stepped on the cigarette **** in time and glanced at the time:
"It's almost done, go up."
The two took the elevator upstairs again, and it happened that there were only two of them in the elevator. Xu Sui stood a little ahead, Zhou Jingze stood beside his sitting hand, he leaned on the wall, leaning his head on it, his Adam's apple slowly rolling up and down, inexplicably hooked.
"Do you think they will reconcile?" Xu Sui asked.
The elevator screen showed that it reached the 11th floor. When Zhou Jingze was about to answer, he made a "bang" and the elevator shook violently in a vibrating manner.
Immediately afterwards, with a "slap", the elevator lights went out, and the inside was too dark. The darkness amplifies people's fear and strangeness little by little.
They didn't expect the elevator failure that happened once in a million years to be encountered by them. Xu Sui was a little flustered. She turned her head subconsciously, but couldn't see where Zhou Jingze was.
"Zhou Jingze?"
Xu Sui only called twice. After hearing no answer, she tried her best to maintain the panic in her heart and immediately rang the telephone alarm. There was a response from the electric alarm phone, Xu Suiyi spoke, and found that his voice was a little trembling:
"Hello, this is the elevator malfunctioning, please send someone over as soon as possible."
"Hello, can you ask about the specific location?" the maintenance staff asked.
"The 11th floor of Building F," Xu Sui's voice tried to calm down, as if thinking of something, "please come here quickly."
After finishing the conversation, Xu Sui Mohei walked to the back of the elevator. She was holding her mobile phone, the screen signal was one bar, and the battery level was 3. Xu Sui looked over with the light on the screen.
Finding that Zhou Jingze didn't know when he was sitting in the corner, he closed his eyes, his eyelashes trembled, and there was a lot of sweat on his forehead.
Xu Suixin squatted tightly in front of him and pushed his arm: "Zhou Jingze."
Zhou Jingze opened his eyes laboriously, glanced at her and then went back to lean against the wall. He felt like a sponge that was constantly sinking in the sea, powerless and fearful.
He thought of the damp attic, and the dark spiders crawling around, suffocating, as if the neck was choked by someone, don't take your breath away. He struggled to escape and found that everything was in vain.
Xu Sui squatted aside and saw Zhou Jingze unable to breathe, his chest undulating violently, his dark eyelashes wet with sweat on his forehead, and his face pale.
When she was in the same class with Zhou Jingze in high school, she heard people say that he was claustrophobic. She thought it was a joke, but it turned out to be true.
Seeing that Zhou Jingze was so uncomfortable, a trace of distressed emotions spread in the bottom of my heart, Xu Sui's heart was pulled into a ball, not the previous love and sentiment, but she wanted to do something to relieve his current pain.
If possible, she wants to bear the pain on his behalf.
Xu Sui hesitated, grabbed his wrist lightly, and said, "Don't be afraid."
Zhou Jingze closed his eyes tightly, feeling that he had fallen into the boundless darkness, like a container sinking into the deep sea, enclosed all around, letting the sea water seep in, drowning his throat, mouth, nose, and a little bit.
In the dark, someone grabbed his wrist and passed warmth bit by bit, like feathers and sunlight. He clearly heard a gentle voice repeating:
"do not be afraid."
Zhou Jingze opened his eyelids laboriously, and a soft-lined cheek appeared in front of him. His face was reflected in the dark and clean pupils, as if he had caught driftwood in the dark.
He followed that hand, in turn, slowly moved down, the broad palms pressed against each other, as if ironing each other's blood vessels, thick calluses rubbing the soft palms, the palms interlocked in an instant.
