Harry Potter and the Old Ones
Chapter 265: Digory
"Amos!" said Mr. Weasley, laughing and striding to the man who called him.
The others looked at each other and followed.
Mr. Weasley shook hands with a red-faced wizard with a short brown beard, who held in the other hand something like an old musty boot.
"Let me introduce you, this is Amos Diggory," said Mr. Weasley. "He's in the Division for Magical Creatures Control. I think you all know his son Cedric."
Cedric Diggory was about seventeen years old, a particularly handsome boy with brown hair, tall and thin, with the same high redness on his face as his father.
At Hogwarts, he was captain and Seeker of the Hufflepuff House Quidditch team.
"Hi there," Cedric said, greeting him warmly.
Everyone said "Hi", but Fred and George didn't say anything, just nodded.
Last year, Cedric beat their Gryffindor team in their first Quidditch match, and the twins have yet to fully forgive him.
"It's a long way, Arthur?" Cedric's father asked.
"Fine," said Mr. Weasley. "We live on the other side of the village, how about you?"
"Woke up at two o'clock, didn't it, Seid? To tell you the truth, I would have liked him to pass the Apparition exam sooner. But... nothing to complain about... Quidditch World Cup, you can't miss it, even if you want to. A pocket of Galleons, in fact, it did cost that much to buy tickets. But I finally managed to deal with it, it's not too difficult..." Amos Diggory looked at the surrounding Weasleys kindly. The three brothers, Tiera, Harry, Hermione and Ginny, "Arthur, are these your children?"
"Oh, no, the redheads are." Mr. Weasley pointed out his children. "This is Hermione, Ron's friend, this is Harry, and Tiera, who is also Ron's friend."
"Oh my God," said Amos Diggory, his eyes widening. "Harry? Harry Potter?"
"Um... yes, yes..." Harry said.
Harry was used to people staring at him curiously when they first met him, and used to their immediate gaze at the scar on his forehead, but it always made him uncomfortable.
"Sure, Seid talked about you," Amos Diggory said. "He told us about his game with you last year... I said to him, I said, Seid, this, etc. You can tell it to your grandchildren when you're old, it's amazing...you beat Harry Potter!"
Harry didn't know how to answer, so he didn't say anything. Fred and George both frowned again.
Cedric also looked a little embarrassed.
"Harry fell off the broom... Dad..." Cedric murmured, "I told you... an accident..."
"Yeah, but you didn't fall, did you?" Amos exclaimed kindly, patting his son on the back, "Our Cyd was always so humble, always a gentleman... but The one who wins is always the best, and I'm sure Harry would say the same, didn't he? One fell off the broom and the other was firmly on it, you don't need a genius brain to be able to Say who is the better pilot!"
"Hey, Mr. Diggory," Tiera said at this time.
"Well, what's the matter, um... um..." Cedric's father looked at Tiera, but obviously, he didn't really remember Tiera's name—
"Just call me Tiera," Tiera said.
"Oh, hello, little Tierra," said Mr. Diggory. "Aha, I remember! Cedric told me about you, you're that very famous little prophet, aren't you? ...it seems like you predicted a very big attack when Cedric was in fifth grade!"
"Yes, it's down." Tiera said with a smile.
"Nice to meet you." Cedric's father also bent down and shook hands with Tiera.
"Mr. Diggory, you must be very proud of your son?" Tiera asked after shaking hands.
"Of course." Amos Diggory said with a smile, then stroked Cedric's hair.
"Ah..." Tiera sighed heavily, shook her head, and then stared at Cedric with that ethereal, as if looking at a dead man.
Seeing Cedric shivering.
"Ah..." Then Tiera sighed again and looked at Cedric's father with a sad look.
"Alas..." Then Tiera silently retracted her gaze and said to herself, "What a pity, what a pity, what a pity..."
Cedric: …
Amos Diggory: …
Tierra's words and actions clearly frightened Diggory and his son.
This made their journey much quieter afterwards.
They didn't say a word until they parted ways with the Diggorys.
They used the broken boot as a door key and went directly to the Quidditch camp.
We walked through the desolate swamps, barely seeing anything in the thick fog.
After walking for about 20 minutes, a door gradually appeared in front of me, and then there was a small stone house. Behind the stone house were hundreds of strangely-shaped tents. A dark wood on the horizon.
Then they said goodbye to the Diggorys and went to the door of the stone house.
"You're a genius!" said Fred Weasley, "for the thought of scaring them like that."
The others nodded too, and apparently the others, like Fred and George, were a little impatient with Amos Diggory's words.
"But what will happen to Diggory?" asked Mr. Weasley with some concern.
"Oh, no, it's not a big deal," Tiera said. "It's just the possibility of dying young."
Mr. Weasley: …
"You're... joking, aren't you?" Arthur Weasley asked uncertainly.
"Of course." Tiera smiled, then shrugged. "But who knows? After all, it's a fickle world, and there's no telling when someone will die young."
Mr. Weasley: …
"Forget it~lightnovelpub.net~ but I didn't ask," Mr. Weasley said. "Forget it, let's go, let's go buy our tent."
Then Weasley took everyone into the stone house.
After buying the tents, they came to the woods at the end of the camp, where there was a clearing with a small sign stuck on the ground: Wedsley.
"This place couldn't be better!" said Mr. Weasley cheerfully. "It's on the other side of the forest, and it couldn't get any closer."
"Okay," he said excitedly. "Strictly speaking, no magic is allowed, since so many of us are on Muggle territory. We're going to put up the tent with our own hands! It shouldn't be too difficult... Muggles are like that... by the way, Harry, and Tierra, where should we start?"
"First, Mr. Weasley," Tiera said. "I think you should take the tent off your shoulders first."
"Oh, yes, yes." Arthur Weasley said embarrassedly.
