Hogwarts Melon Eater

Chapter 78: knight bus

"Anna—"

Anna woke up with Lianna's panicked cry. When she opened her eyes, she saw a cat's tail. The sun came in through the gaps in the curtains. It seemed that the weather was fine outside.

Taking the cat Snow away from her stomach, Anna turned over and looked at the alarm clock on the bedside table, oh, isn't it only ten o'clock? It's still a while before lunch... She closed her eyes peacefully again.

What time does the Hogwarts Express leave?

"Shhh—" Anna snapped the quilt and rushed out of the room, "Mom! Ten o'clock... it's ten o'clock! We can't catch the train!"

She widened her eyes, "It will take at least three hours from here to King's Cross Station!"

"Don't panic, don't panic! Anna, there is magic in this world, are you afraid that you can't think of a way?" While comforting Anna, Ms. Lina quickly covered the dark circles under her eyes with foundation in the panic. " Go and pack yourself up, baby!"

"Earlier, I thought about getting up after hearing the music of Ginny's daily aerobics," Lina said with regret. "It's all my fault, I forgot that the Weasley children all went back to the Burrow yesterday!"

Anna put on jeans and a white sweater, ran to the toilet to wash up, grabbed a comb and started fighting with her long hair, "Where's Ai Wen? Is he up?"

"I haven't woken up yet. Without Ron as a roommate, he's not used to it. He fell asleep very late last night."

"It's too late to take him, I've already contacted nanny Sasha, she'll be there in a while," Lianna patted Anna's shoulder, "Go downstairs for breakfast, baby! We have to hurry up!"

"Okay!" Anna ran downstairs in a hurry. Today's small house is a bit extra quiet, a little less lively than usual, making Anna feel very uncomfortable.

No morning news from Ron, no gym music from Ginny, and no jokes from the twins.

Anna ate breakfast in three minutes, which usually takes about half an hour to end.

An owl hit the glass, startling Snow the cat, who ran to the fireplace, and hid under the sofa vigilantly.

"Erol!" Anna recognized the owl, the old friend of the Weasleys.

She carried Errol in and took off the wrinkled letters on his feet. Errol collapsed on the sofa in relief, and Snow the cat ran over and sniffed him with his head tilted.

\'...Anna! Hope you're out of bed by the time you read this letter! Fred was talking about you all the time (crossed out here with messy lines), and Ron had a bad hunch when he woke up, thinking about the last time he had a hunch, you went to Azkaban—\'

\'So we thought about writing you a letter to remind you to arrive at King's Cross Station on time...\'

Looking at Ginny's delicate handwriting, Anna didn't know what to say. Ron's hunch was really good...

\'...Considering the worst case, my dad suggested that you can choose to take the cavalry bus, stand on the side of the street and raise your wand and shake it, and soon (George said it was faster than Ron eating jelly) to reach you place that I want to go…\'

\'...P.S. I'm not used to no one grabbing jam from me in the morning...but I'm not thinking about you, well, maybe a little bit. And, when you come, bring my old friend Errol, it will be very difficult to fly back after it has an old bone...\'

Anna happily put away the letter, picked up Errol, who was lying dead on the sofa, and shouted upstairs, "Mom! Are you ready? We can take the Knight Bus!"

"Bus?" Lena went down the stairs while putting on her suit jacket. She took Errol from Anna's hand, "Is it time to take the bus?"

"It shouldn't be a problem." It was faster than Ron eating jelly, which translated as \'beyond the speed of light\'. Anna lifted the big suitcase that was in the living room last night.

She shook the box and found that the box was not as heavy as she imagined. She was a little surprised, "Mom, did you really help me put all the textbooks in? Why does it feel so light?"

"Oh! The box is full of your clothes and daily necessities. I also brought you a thin blanket. There is no place to put your textbooks." Ms. Lina patted Anna's head, "I will help you The textbooks and other things were packed into that blue floral cloth bag."

Great, now, no matter what, it smells like shit, Anna secretly complained.

"Then let's go Mom," Anna looked very savage, carrying the huge box on her shoulders with one hand. They walked out of the house and found a secluded place on the street.

Anna stretched out her wand and shook it in mid-air, as if calling for a taxi.

Within a minute, loud music sounded, and a purple three-story bus appeared from the middle of the road, rushing towards them aggressively.

"Squeak-" The tires and the ground screeched, and the bus stopped firmly in front of Anna, who could just see \'Knight Bus\' written in golden swashes on the windshield.

A bearded conductor in a purple uniform jumped out of the car, "Welcome to the Knight Bus, this is a bus for emergency... er... emergency..." The bearded conductor seemed to have forgotten his words, and he yelled at the bus, "Stan! How do you say that?"

A boy who looked thirteen or fourteen years old emerged from the car door, he looked helpless, "Uncle, I really don't think you are suitable for this job of dealing with people, you should go back and be your Auror. …”

The bearded man ruffled Stan's hair funny, "Don't talk nonsense! Brat!"

Stan coughed twice, and suddenly turned into a very professional look, at least in Anna's eyes, "Welcome to take the Knight Bus, this is an emergency bus, specially for wizards who are at a loss..."

He paused, "And the little wizard. Hold out your wand and we'll take you anywhere! I'm Stan Thornpack, and I'm your conductor today..."

Bearded took Stan aside, "Okay, you're not a conductor today, hurry up and pack up. I promised your dad that I would watch you on your Hogwarts train."

"We're going to King's Cross Station too!" Anna exclaimed excitedly.

"Then get on the bus quickly, passengers," the bearded man said with a smile, "only eleven silver coins..."

"But thirteen can eat chocolate, and fifteen can pick up any color water bottle and toothbrush to take away!" Stan interjected, looking like he really wanted to be a conductor on the Knights Bus.

"I remember these very clearly—Stan!" The bearded man lifted Stan onto the bus with one hand, "Go and pack up, don't get in the way of your poor uncle's work here."

He took the silver coins that Anna handed over, "Come on, passengers, we'll be there soon," he reached out and tried to take the suitcase on Anna's shoulder.

"Just this little thing?" The bearded man thought that the box would be very light, after all, it was carried on the shoulders by a pretty and cute-looking little girl——

It wasn't until he realized that he was struggling to lift the box.

"I'll do it myself, thank you," Anna suddenly felt a little self-conscious as a girl in the beard's surprised eyes. She put down the salute she was carrying on her shoulders, and pretended to be very hard to put the suitcase on the car.

Lena walked behind and comforted the bearded man, "I was very surprised when I first discovered it, but it's all magic, right, magic."

The bearded man swallowed his saliva and quickly convinced himself, "Yes, magic..." He scratched his head, didn't bother too much, and followed him into the car.

The bus is extremely spacious, there are no seats, but there are beds, and the warm-colored decoration makes the whole cabin look warm.

Stan popped up, and he kept chattering, "Hello, are you a little wizard who is new to school? Are you only going to the train station now? I thought only an old student like me would get there..."

"I just overslept," Anna had a chance to look at the little conductor carefully.

Stan...is the conductor Harry met on the Knight's bus when he was thirteen years old in the original book, and he would later be wrongly admitted to Azkaban for talking big...

Anna stretched out her hand, "Hello, I'm Anna, Anna Lawrence~lightnovelpub.net~ just call me Stan," Stan chuckled and held Anna's hand, "Oversleep! Don't be nervous! It's amazing Anna! I mean it!"

"I arrived two hours early when I went to school for the first time. I was wandering around the King's Railway Station and was almost caught by the security guard as a thief!"

"But if you dare to oversleep before the Transfiguration class, that's even better!" Stan looked excited.

Bad idea, bullying freshmen, don't you know how scary Professor McGonagall is?

"Which college are you from?" Anna was a little curious.

"Me? I'm—" Stan blinked mysteriously, "Ravenclaw!"

what! Anna was surprised that he turned out to be Ravenclaw! This articulate Stan turned out to be a Ravenclaw, and Anna thought he would be a Gryffindor!

"It doesn't look like it, does it?" Stan waved his hand, "I know you're surprised, and I'm surprised too, I don't like studying at all, I just like to stay on the knight bus and walk all over the horns..."

"Meet different people, hear different stories... But there's nothing wrong with Ravenclaw, you need to answer questions to enter the lounge, I've collected a lot of questions, if I become a conductor, maybe I can still be there imitating imitation on the bus…”

"Answer the question and get in the car?"

"Get in the car!" Stan nodded, "That's a good idea!"

Anna laughed, "Then this should be called 'Ravenclaw's Wisdom Bus'!"

Stan also cheered, "Ding ding—" The long string of bells rang, Anna sat on the bed with Lena at Stan's suggestion, and clung to the railing at the foot of the bed.

"Drive, Erne!" The bearded man sat in the co-pilot's seat and greeted the old man with glasses who was driving.
