My Cartoonist Guide

Chapter 32: Back hand

"Okay, all the manuscripts for the first episode have been collected." After Yan Fu counted the manuscripts, he put the manuscripts into the file bag, "The extra color manuscripts are also very beautiful.

"Where is it? This is what I should do. Next, it depends on Sister Yan." Shen Xin was a little emboldened.

"Don't worry, I know it in my heart." Yan Fu waved his hand.

"Well, if the editor-in-chief doesn't agree, don't force it."

Watching Yan Fu walk down the stairs, Shen Xin returned to the studio again.

"You two, you can also go back today, thank you both for this time."

In order to keep up with the progress, Qiao Yu and Ruan Ying have been coming over to help during the night of this period. Finally, on the weekend of the second week, they completed the draft of the first episode, four or five days earlier than expected.

Xi Muxin also ran over on the weekend.

She can't do things related to comics, she just cleans the studio, boils water and tea, and buys food. When I had free time, I stood behind the two assistants and observed their work.

Shen Xin noticed Xi Muxin's behavior, thinking she was just curious about the assistant's work, so she didn't take it seriously.

After sending the two away, Shen Xin returned to his workbench again, stretched out, and then took out a piece of manuscript paper and started copying the sketch.

From now on, Shen Xin will start to draw the second chapter.

This statement must be completed within a week, otherwise, his future updates will be very difficult.

After this period of adaptation, Shen Xin's speed in drawing comics has also increased. Of course, it can't be compared with the cartoonists who have been in the comics industry for more than ten years, but compared with the first episodes of "Equation of Love" and "Y's", the proficiency is definitely improved.

drew four or five pages of sketches in a hurry, Shen Xin raised his head and looked out the window, and found that the sky was already dark, while Xi Muxin was sitting at the assistant’s workbench, holding a book, reading with gusto.

"Xiao Xin, what book do you read?" Shen Xin asked curiously.

Xi Muxin immediately held up the book, "What is a script? I found it in the study."

"Huh?" Shen Xin couldn't laugh or cry, wondering what she was doing with this book. "By the way, can high school study keep up?"

"Should be okay?" Xi Muxun raised his head and thought for a moment. If he said "easy", he would appear to be telling lies. Instead of this, he should be more subtle.

Sure enough, after hearing these words, Shen Xin nodded slightly, wanting to say something to study hard, but then again, he thought that Xi Muxin’s academic performance was already very good, and he seemed not qualified to teach her anything. Remind Xi Muxin that it is best not to fall in love early.

"Puff." Xi Muxin who was reading suddenly laughed out, "Brother Xin, do you know? This sentence came out of your mouth... I feel very happy."

"What's wrong?" Shen Xin was confused.

"Uh... Brother Xin, you are drawing a love cartoon of a high school student, but you still don't let others fall in love." Xi Muxun tried very hard to restrain himself, and finally did not laugh.

  "..."

Shen Xin opened his mouth. This little Nizi "returns his body by his own way", he really can't refute it.

Looking at Shen Xin with a depressed face, Xi Muxun also put a smile away, and said sternly: "Brother Xin, you are so busy now, how can I have time to take care of this? Anyway...in high school I won't talk about it."

"You can decide these things yourself." Shen Xin replied, picking up the pencil and composing the picture again.

Really, why are you all right to mention this?

Because Xi Muxin was in the studio, Shen Xin did not dare to work too late. Just after eight o'clock, she asked her to pack her clothes and prepare to go home.

"So early?" Xi Muxin stood up from his seat.

"It's getting late, you have to go to class tomorrow." Shen Xin explained.

   "How about you?"

"I? I must die here...I am a professional cartoonist now, and I should be worthy of this profession, and although I submitted the first manuscript, I still don't have enough time."

Xi Muxin's mouth stretched, somewhat helpless.

"Well, don't think about it, I am also realizing my dream... I am going home." Shen Xin reminded.

"Oh, wait a minute, I want to find a few books to read." Xi Muxin quickly returned to Shen Xin's library and pulled out a few love novels and scripted books from it.

Shen Xin blinked, and he became more confused about Xi Muxin's thoughts.

The next day, Yan Fu handed Shen Xin's manuscript to the editor-in-chief.

"So fast?" The editor-in-chief was taken aback, but he didn't expect Shen Xin to finish the manuscript four or five days in advance.

"For the past two weeks, Shen Xin has been busy with these two manuscripts, and he didn't even go to school. The two assistants are also very good. They work overtime every day to finish the manuscript of Chapter 1 ahead of schedule." Yan Fu explained. Say.

The editor-in-chief nodded subconsciously, but looked straight at the color manuscript in his hand.

When looking at the name, he felt that the first three pages were definitely the biggest selling point of the first chapter, and now, the color pages drawn by Shen Xin confirmed his guess.

Shen Xin's coloring is not as gorgeous as the coloring page of "Toggle", but its delicacy and realism are better than that of "Toggle". In other words, the combination of "photograph" complements each other, and the heroine is green when facing the camera. Astringency and purity were completely outlined by Shen Xin.

It is difficult for him to compare the first episodes of "Toggle" and "Y's" which is better, because the styles are different. But if you say which one he prefers, there is no doubt that it is "Y's", because only "Y's" is published in "NewWorld"

After turning over the three "photographs", the texture of the color pages dropped sharply.

This is partly because Shen Xin's level of coloring needs to be improved. The more important reason is that the first three pages of color pages leave a lot of space and can be colored more delicately. The following manuscripts are divided into grids, and the impact on the vision is weakened.

More than just "Y's", the divided color pages are not as good as the full-page color pages. In fact, almost all comics are like this, including "Crumbling" is no exception.

In the serial meeting, the editor-in-chief has already seen Shen Xin's name, and has a general understanding of the direction of the story. Even so, when he read the manuscript, he still felt unsatisfied.

The deputy editor-in-chief had already put down the work at hand, Yu Guang aimed at the editor-in-chief, and after the other party put down the manuscript, he could borrow it and read it.

As a result, after reading it, the editor-in-chief immediately read it again, and at the same time tapped his finger on the desktop, the brain kept running.

The first episode of Shen Xin’s "Y’s" surpassed his imagination, and the painter was better than "Formula of Love."

Now, he finally has a good card in his hand, but how to play this card is really troublesome for him.

Yan Fu heard the hesitating editor-in-chief, and felt confident in his heart. "Editor-in-chief, to be honest, I think the quality of "Y's" can completely compete with "Toddler". Can't we do some publicity? Two posters are also good."

"Poster?" The editor-in-chief frowned, then shook his head, "I'm afraid, the time is too late, right? It may affect the progress of the next episode."

"It's too late!" Yan Fu put an envelope on the table again, "I also let Shen Xin draw the coloring pages for the poster."

The muscles on editor-in-chief's face twitched, and it felt like he had been calculated by Yan Fu, but he still picked up the envelope and pulled out the two colored pages inside. Seeing the content on it, his eyes brightened.
