Chapter 387: fairy

   Chapter 387 Immortal

The next morning, when Xu Guangling came down from the mountain, he faced Lao Tan who was left behind.

"Brother Xu, are you really a power user?" Lao Tan's respect has always been there, but now he is more inexplicably excited.

Speaking of how excited you are, it’s not that you have supernatural powers!

Feeling a little bit of his mental activity, Xu Guangling complained like this, and then smiled: "Changbai Mountain is a fairy mountain, have you heard of it?"

Like reading Buddhist collections, Xu Guangling also read Taoist Tibetans before. Although he read it only half-understood, and it was still superficial, many of the contents were automatically omitted by him.

   But still touched something.

For example, China has had a saying of "immortals" since ancient times.

Xian, from the point of view of the creation of characters, is a person and a mountain, so the usual interpretation is a person who escaping from the world and cultivating in the mountains.

There is a couplet that says, "There are many famous mountain monks in the world, and there should be one or two strange peaks to live in my Taoist friends; after all the good things in the world have been said by the Buddha, whoever knows five thousand wonderful treatises will tell my fairy master."

Well, this should be a "discussion" between Buddhism and Taoism, but it reflects a problem, that is, people of Buddhism and Taoism like to live in the mountains.

Some people will say, this is not normal, the mountains are clean, the scenery is still very good, and the air is still very fresh.

In fact, these reasons are not very sufficient.

From the end, the air is very fresh.

As a person in this era, I am very sensitive to this aspect, because there are not many people living in cities who do not know about smog. Even in those cities that do not have much smog, the air quality is not very good. Not to mention fresh.

So when it comes to "fresh air", people generally yearn for it.

Even in rural areas, far from the city, it may not be possible to avoid smog, the air is more or less polluted by the way.

   But what about ancient times?

  Industrialization has not yet started.

Anywhere, as long as there are any trees, the air will be quite clean and fresh.

Therefore, the air in the mountains is very fresh. This advantage is dispensable. It has been greatly reduced, and its influence is really not that great.

   As for the beautiful scenery?

What did that sentence say? In the distance is the scenery.

No matter how beautiful the scenery is, if you live there, it will be the same.

and cleanliness is even more untenable.

Doesn't Tao Yuanming have a sentence, "Ask you, how can you? Be far away from yourself."

   Far away from yourself!

In short, if you want to be lively, then move to the downtown area, and it must be directly opposite the street, otherwise, even if it is behind the street, a courtyard in a district can easily isolate the hustle and bustle.

All in all, in the ancient environment, living in the mountains really did not have such a big advantage.

On the contrary, the inconvenience of life is obvious.

First of all, the air will be colder. In the morning and evening of spring, summer and autumn, it will be so cold that one’s bones are stiff. In winter, when a heavy snow falls, the door is immediately closed, not only the door but also the mountain, ranging from ten days and a half to more. For two or three months, you can't go down the mountain.

Secondly, the water source in the mountains is not so convenient.

There is definitely no running water. Even if there is a clear spring on the mountain, it is impossible for all residents to live by the spring. Therefore, the project of carrying water is inevitable.

And it is picked every day.

You are very easy to carry water, and can you still exercise?

Yes, that's right, it seems to be able to exercise, but it's really not easy. If your body is relatively healthy, it is good to say that you can cope with this errand by exercising. If you are not in good health, carrying water will always be a chore.

Again, it is not convenient to eat. You can grow and order vegetables on the mountain, but more places are not suitable for growing vegetables. As for rice, noodles, grain and oil, all of them have to go down the mountain to buy them regularly.

  …

All in all, living in the mountains has too many inconveniences.

The advantages of    are not so great, but the disadvantages are too many. The combination of the two makes "living in the mountains", at least, the cost performance is not so high, right?

Then why are they still rushing to the mountains?

Not only that, but they also came up with the saying "Dongtian Fudi", all "blessed places" are all kinds of mountains in the world, and all "Dongtians" are cave dwellings, or residences, built on the mountains.

All in all, whether it is a cave, or a blessed land, it is inseparable from the mountain.

Before, when Xu Guangling read this, he had a feeling that the people in these caves are really humorous and optimistic about life.

In this way, things that were originally very low instantly became taller, right?

But since he discovered "the spirit of the earth, mountains and rivers", Xu Guangling thought of "immortal" again, and then thought of "the heaven and the earth", and the feeling was completely different.

How to say   , it's a bit complicated.

Anyway, the previous understanding began to be subverted.

Is there such a possibility that in ancient times, and very early, dating back to the pre-Qin period, there were people and even quite a few people who could see "the spirit of the earth, mountains and rivers" like him?

Then, he lived in the mountains for a long time.

Then, there is the actual and concept of "Xian".

And, with the passage of time, this behavior was gradually solidified, and thus the legend of the Paradise and Paradise was born.

But later, whether it is a cave or a blessed land, it seems that it is not as divine as the legend, and this pursuit gradually cools down, so slowly, it has become a semi-abandoned and non-mainstream existence.

This is a guess made by Xu Guangling today.

But this speculation has been unverified.

And one of the things he will do in the future is to investigate the leylines of Kyushu.

And examine all the caves in the Taoist records, some or even a large part of these caves may be completely far-fetched by future generations, but Xu Guangling believes that it is very likely that some of them are in the true sense. ".

Secondly, he will examine the situation of all the famous and unnamed "longevity villages" in Kyushu.

Longevity villages are not uncommon today. They are often seen in various news reports. Their common feature is that they are far away from the city. Therefore, people generally believe that the reason for their longevity is to stay away from the city and away from pollution.

But in ancient times without pollution, did these longevity villages not exist?

   Obviously impossible.

Kyushu is so big, how many longevity villages are there?

Xu Guangling has not yet inspected, but he has preliminarily concluded that the vast majority of these longevity villages will be located in places where "the atmosphere of the earth and mountains and rivers" is relatively strong. In other words, most of them have mountains nearby.

This expedition was listed as one of the long-term plans by Xu Guangling.

Of course, it’s not on the agenda yet.

This kind of investigation is only for broadening knowledge and confirming some things. Whether there is or not is not so important or critical. The key for Xu Guangling at the moment is still to follow the fundamental method, and, from the foundation of the medical Tao, step by step to the peak.
