Reborn As a Pirate

v2 Chapter 675: Build Solomon's Temple

Compared to later generations, New York at the end of the 18th century was far from being the prosperous atmosphere symbolized by the word [city].

The Dutch spent half a century building their new Amsterdam at the confluence of the East River and the Hudson River. The British took her away, toppled the city wall, and flattened an avenue on the site of the wall.

Wall Street (wallstr.) has become the latitude of New York. The Dutch city on the south is the lower city, and the English city on the north is the upper city.

The British do not like the names of Dutch and English cities. In order to declare their sovereignty over the entire city of New York, they have planned three meridians in New York.

The meridian of the lower city is broad street (broadstr.), which connects the port and Wall Street in an arc shape.

The meridian of the upper city is Queens Boulevard (queenstr.), which rises from the Federal Hall on Wall Street to the suburbs.

The third meridian is another broad street in New York.

Broadway Street (broadwaystr.) is the only thoroughfare in New York that spans the upper and lower cities. One end is tied to New York’s past Fort George, and the other ends toward the future of New York, the vast undeveloped Manhattan wilderness.

After all, villages and forests still occupy about 3/4 of Manhattan's land. The New York inherited by the Americans is actually just a mere 3,700 acres (about 15 square kilometers).

The Americans subdivide their New York into six regions.

To the east of Queen’s Road is the Newport District, to the north of Queen’s Road is the suburbs, to the west of Queen’s Road-Wall Street-to the east of Broad Street is the East District, to the west of Broadway Avenue is the West District, and between the East and West Districts is Wall Street, dividing the South and North Area.

The Mercury Manor of the Drake Chamber of Commerce is located in the Lower East Side, at the intersection of Wall Street, Newport District and the East River, at the East Pole.

Corresponding to the West Pole is the New York Garrison, the starting point of that Broadway Street, the stone bastion of Fort George favored and trusted by the three generations of soldiers from the Netherlands, Britain, and the United States.

Fort George was founded in 1625. It was the first man-made building and military facility built by the Dutch on Manhattan Island. It was originally a wooden square fortress.

I think Peter Minute, the first governor of New Netherlands, relied on this simple fortress to fight the local Lenape people, and repelled the aboriginal offensives with muskets and cannons more than ten times, and successfully forced them to reach At the negotiating table, and used 60 guilders and some cheap scraps to buy the ownership of the entire Manhattan Island.

In 1626, the Dutch officially settled in Manhattan. The first batch of residents was only 300. In order to guard against the possible IQ of the Lenape people at any time (crossed out) treachery, they continued to reinforce the fortress, and it took about 10 years to build the original square fort into the current bastion.

However, they did not wait for the Lenape attack. In 1664, the British fleet invaded the Hudson River and used ravaged naval guns to dismantle the wooden bastion into scorched earth. Peter Steivesan, Governor of New Netherlands Knowing that he was unable to resist, he raised his hand and surrendered.

After the change of ownership in New York, the newly arrived British also took a fancy to this scorched ruin that symbolized the backbone of the Dutch. A large number of Lenape were arrested as slaves, and a more majestic stone bastion was built on the basis of the original site.

New Fort was built around 1700, including a series of fortifications, including fortresses, city walls, forts, moats, and ramps, collectively known as Fort George.

The new Fort George has since become the core of New York’s coastal defense and army garrison. Under the ardent expectation of the people of New York, it preceded the peace at the beginning of the War of Independence anyway, and at the moment when the British army made a comeback.

After the end of the war and the eve of the withdrawal of the British army, it was handed over to the Americans in a peaceful manner for the second time. It changed from the patron saint of British colonists to the capital of the United States.

It is undoubtedly magical. It never falls when it is not expected, and it never wars after it is trusted.

The pioneers of the Netherlands firmly believed that it would allow them to survive safely, and later British soldiers and now American soldiers also firmly believed that it would allow them to survive safely.

  ……

  Night, north wind.

Standing on the unmanned bastion wall, Stephen Girard stared at the quiet Hudson River.

There is darkness there, and there are waves in the darkness, constantly reminding people that there is still an old military port there.

The Hudson River Mouth was once a military port of the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and even the Americans. In the early days of the War of Independence, the Hudson River Formation, one of the three major fleets of the Continental Army, was stationed here.

At that time, there was singing here every night, and enthusiastic New York girls gathered around the shore, showing their beauty like golden pheasants in front of outstanding naval officers.

And now, the Hudson River formation is still there, but the attention of the New Yorkers has long been drawn far to the other end of Long Island.

There is a brand new fleet there, frigates built by Drake Maritime Group, destroyers built by Drake Maritime Group, Brig and Brigentine built by Drake Maritime Group...

That fleet is called the Long Island Fleet. It is the first step in the revitalization plan of the U.S. Navy. It carries and pines the American ambitions and hopes for the ocean.

But the Americans shouldn't have awakened this unrealistic ambition so early!

In the plan, the last decade of the 18th century should be the time for Freemasonry to transform the United States, and the first two decades of the 19th century should be the time for Freemasonry to develop the United States.

It was not until the middle period of 1820-1850 that the United States, which completely accepted the Freemasonian ideals, would rise up, and would counterattack Europe with an irresistible momentum. Under the guidance of the American brothers in Europe, it would rise to the top of the world like a broken bamboo.

This is the plan of Freemasonry!

Lorraine Drake ruined their great plan...

No, Lorraine Drake is just a dirty pirate, a humble businessman, and what he does is only driven by profit. It was Alexander Hamilton who really undermined the Freemasonry plan, his **** revolving door plan!

   is not right!

Alexander Hamilton is the creative and Lorraine Drake is the practitioner. These two people are equally hateful. Under the avalanche, there is no innocent snowflake!

  They are sinners!

Freemasonry will never let go of such a heinous criminal. Stephen Gillard has prepared everything for this.

   "Just wait until..."

   "Holy Lord!"

A scream interrupted Gillard's conjecture. He turned his head in annoyance, his face was pleasant, and Zhong Zheng was peaceful: "My beautiful brother Eugene, what makes you so moved?"

"Honorable Lord!" Eugene took a deep breath. "One hour ago, the Gyllenhaal brothers from Wales asked someone to submit the withdrawal application for him. He is among the three candidates we buried in the Baishang Association. The only success, but he said in the withdrawal application that Lorraine Drake will kill the traitors, which is a price he does not want to pay."

Girard's eyes constricted suddenly: "Lorraine Drake...Did that dirty Viking bear aware of our existence?"

"It shouldn't be there yet." Eugene took a deep breath. "I went to meet the Meisheng Gyllenhaal brothers and thought he still respected us. He told me that Lorraine Drake had seen our plan thoroughly. , But haven’t noticed our existence yet."

"He also said that Drake is going to unite with Hamilton. If we have no countermeasures, we will definitely lose at this Christmas dinner."

Girard's brows twisted into a Rift Valley: "Even such important information tells us, why should Meisheng Gyllenhaal betray us?"

"I guess..." Eugene swallowed nervously. "I guess Lorraine Drake might not mind that his information was leaked out~lightnovelpub.net~ Or maybe Meisheng Gyllenhaal thought There are enough insiders of this information, at least not to attract Drake's butcher knife..."

"He betrayed us. He must be afraid of our revenge, so he presented these vital information and prayed for our forgiveness."

  Girard did not speak immediately.

He was silent, thinking, his brows stretched a little over time, and his face returned to Zhongzheng's peaceful kindness.

"You solved my doubt, my beautiful brother Eugene." He smiled and said, "I hope you do two things."

"Yes!"

"The first thing, except Meisheng Gyllenhaal and Lorraine Drake, sent people to persuade everyone in the Baishang Associated Press. Our Meisheng may be exposed as a result, so don’t choose to be eligible to participate. People at Christmas dinner."

   Eugene nodded heavily.

"Second item..." Gillard hissed like a snake. "Betrayal must be punished. The matter of Meisheng Gyllenhaal is to be handled by Brother Siwei. Ask him to design more elaborately and adequately. The topicality helps our work of persuasion."

"...Yes, Lord! We will build Solomon's temple!"

"We will build Solomon's temple, no doubt."
