Chapter 1042: war (below)

Chapter 1042 Start the War (Part 2)

Not long after the battle ended, the destroyed tanks on the battlefield were still burning, and the rising smoke covered the sky and the sun, so that Seryozha and his anti-tank team could quietly attack without being noticed by the enemy. Enter the front of the 210th Guards Regiment, hidden in those large and small bomb craters.

Serezha had hidden and fought in bomb craters many times, and he felt very bad about bomb craters. Every time he stays inside, he always has a feeling of wanting to run out, and to see if the comrades around him are still in the pit, to make sure that he is not the only one staying here. Even if he was a veteran, let alone a recruit who participated in a battle for the first time.

It was precisely because of this consideration that before the teams entered the crater, he specifically told every soldier: "Brothers, we don't have enough communication tools. After entering the front location later, everything can only be done by yourself." No need to wait for my order, as long as you think the time is right, you can fire immediately."

An hour later, the Germans launched an offensive again. The Germans, who had suffered a great loss, first bombarded the positions of the 151st Guards Artillery Regiment with artillery fire to prevent their offensive troops from being intercepted by artillery fire again after approaching the Soviet positions.

While shelling the Soviet artillery positions, the Soviet defensive positions were also heavily shelled. The dense shells quickly blew up the position of the 210th regiment into a sea of flames.

Serezha covered his ears with his hands, curled up and hid in the crater, praying secretly that the German shells would never hit the crater where he was hiding. Although he had heard a saying a long time ago, "No shell will fall into the same crater twice". But only those who have been on the battlefield can understand that this sentence is nonsense. In the era of the person who said this, how much bombardment density was there, and how much is the bombardment density today? Not to mention two shells falling in the same crater, even three or four shells are entirely possible.

Sivakov, who was staying in the observation post, held up his binoculars and looked at the forward position that was blown into a sea of flames. He said to his chief of staff worriedly: "With such fierce artillery fire, those anti-tank soldiers lurking in front of the position Hands, can you survive?"

"I think I should be able to survive." The chief of staff said in an uncertain tone: "The targets shelled by the Germans were all our positions, and the anti-tank fighters were all hiding in the craters in front of the positions and were hit by enemy shells." The odds of that should not be high."

The German artillery fire began to extend, and the German tanks lined up in a horizontal line appeared again in Sivakov's binoculars. Behind the tanks are infantry in skirmish formation.

The machine guns on the Soviet positions rattled when the German tanks were still two or three hundred meters away. Although the bullets kept hitting the tank and clanging, it did not slow down the tank's forward speed at all. Only a few unlucky soldiers were hit by ricochets and fell to the ground screaming.

Seryosha, who was hiding in the crater, vaguely heard the roar of the tank engine coming from outside, so he carefully probed out to check, and saw a short-barreled No. 4 tank, only two hundred meters away from him. He quickly retracted his body and said to the anti-tank fighters in the crater: "The German tanks are coming, load them immediately, and prepare to shoot."

After loading, the anti-tank man also probed out to check, trying to figure out where the enemy tanks were. At this moment, not far from the side, a rocket with white smoke flew out and went straight to the approaching German tank. But unfortunately, the rocket did not hit the galloping tank, but fell on the open space and exploded. Before the anti-tank man in the crater retracted, he was shot by German machine guns. After being shot several times, he fell directly into the crater on his back.

The sacrifice of his subordinates made Seryozha heartbroken, but in order to destroy the enemy's tank, he could only suppress the anger in his heart, and said to the anti-tank fighters who had already prepared by his side: "Don't worry, wait for the enemy's tank to die." Come closer and hit again."

After finishing speaking, he ordered the gunman in charge of the cover: "The infantry who follow the tank will be handed over to you to deal with. I don't want them to hurt our anti-tank fighters."

"Don't worry, Comrade Company Commander." An older soldier grinned at Sergei Sha, and patted the assault rifle that had just been refitted with his hand: "With this gun, you can kill the enemy from a hundred meters away." Enemy, there is basically no problem."

The older soldier poked his head out cautiously, and saw that several enemies were no more than fifty or sixty meters away from the crater where he was, but their attention was all attracted by the crater where the rocket had just been fired. The older soldier quickly set up his gun, aimed at several enemies in the distance, and decisively pulled the trigger.

After firing three bursts, he retracted his body decisively, and proudly said to Sergei: "Comrade company commander, I killed two."

"Good job." After complimenting the opponent, Sergei urged, "Kill the remaining enemies as well, and cover the anti-tank fighters for shooting."

The old soldier took a deep breath, then probed out again, aimed at the place where the German soldiers were hiding and pulled the trigger again. His movements were done in one go, and without much effort, he fired all the bullets in the magazine, and retracted into the crater again: "Comrade company commander, we're all killed."

Hearing that all the nearby German soldiers had been killed, the anti-tank man dared not neglect, stood up abruptly, aimed at the oncoming German tank, and slammed the trigger. The rocket flew towards the enemy tank with white smoke, and the anti-tank fighter squatted down without caring about checking the results of the battle.

Soon, there was a violent explosion outside, and then some soil fell from the sky and sprinkled on everyone's heads and bodies. The older soldier hurriedly leaned out, only to see that the tank had stopped advancing and was burning not far away. Several tank soldiers covered in fire screamed and escaped from the tank, stumbling towards the back.

Seeing that the anti-tank team commanded by Seryozha had achieved results, the rest of the anti-tank team did not dare to show weakness. The anti-tank fighter stood up from the crater at the risk of being hit by bullets, straightened his body and aimed at the enemy tank and fired.

The German infantry who followed the tanks thought that the Soviet anti-tank fighters would still use the method of approaching and dropping bombs, so there were many soldiers behind each tank, so that they could use them to attack the tanks before the Soviet soldiers approached the tanks. Intensive firepower wiped out the opponent.

Unexpectedly, the Soviet army changed their routines, and there were rocket launchers attacking from a long distance, which made the infantry following the tank attack at a loss. As for the tanks hit by the rockets, the ammunition in the vehicles also exploded, and the flying shrapnel cut down the surrounding soldiers in pieces.

After the German army lost more than a dozen tanks, the German commander realized that this offensive would hardly achieve any results, so he issued an order to retreat. Soon, in front of the Soviet positions, there were left dead bodies and burning tanks.
