Chapter 477: fish dragon change

Chapter 477 The Change of Fish and Dragon

In fact, we can’t say that we failed, we can only say that after trying it out, I didn’t see any effect, so I let go.

After all, the reason why I tried it was just a little bit of curiosity.

And looking back on the past at today's height, Xu Guangling naturally knew that at that time, even if he didn't taste it, it would not have any effect. No matter how hard you try, it's useless. ——Even a little gain is impossible!

Because the root of meditation lies in a "concentration".

And this requires the cooperation of both mind and body.

I won’t talk about it. It’s very simple, but it’s also very complicated. It needs to be done step by step. There is absolutely no good thing that can be achieved overnight. The so-called “sudden realization” and the like, put it here, it is purely a crooked way.

To use the extremely famous verse of Zen Buddhism, the only way to achieve body concentration is to "be like a bodhi tree, and the mind is like a mirror. Always wipe it hard, and don't make dust."

   This is the body.

Heart, it's a little more complicated.

Because the body is there, it's clear.

  The heart is different.

Regarding this point, there is also a koan in Zen Buddhism, or a story.

It is said that Shenguang, the second ancestor of Zen Buddhism, visited the first ancestor Bodhidharma and wanted to ask for the law, but he was reprimanded directly. Shenguang even cut off one of his own arms in order to show his determination.

Bodhidharma didn't know whether to pity his suffering, or feel his sincerity, or simply because he was frightened by this ruthless man, so he said to him, "What do you want to ask for?"

Shengguang said: "My heart is not at peace, I beg the teacher for peace."

Bodhidharma said: "Bring your heart, I will give you peace."

How to get    heart?

   Can't get it.

But from the final result, Shenguang still got what he wanted, and Bodhidharma taught him the method of peace of mind.

Is it difficult to feel at ease?

   Difficult, not difficult.

Let me give a random example, for example, a young man, as the son of a family, his parents quarrel every three days, and sometimes even fight, causing the family to be uneasy. And he could only watch, there was nothing he could do.

Let me ask this young man, if he wants to practice samatha, can he?

  The answer is, no.

How could he sit there with peace of mind!

As another example, the young man himself married and became the parent of another child. However, he was struggling to make a living, and his family's livelihood was strained.

I go to the company every day, but I don’t dare to resign easily after being scolded by my boss, because one is old and two have no strong skills, and it is difficult to find a new home in a short period of time after resigning, let alone a good one.

During the day, I was angry at the company in every possible way. When I got home, I was often looked down upon, ridiculed and treated coldly by the other half. My son often complained to him, complaining that other children were picked up by their parents in good cars...

Let me ask this man who is no longer young, if he wants to practice samatha and vipassana, can he?

   The answer is still no.

How can he feel at ease!

In such a state of mind, no matter how much you sit, you will always sit and sit hard, not training but suffering. Even if you sit for a hundred years, it is impossible to get started.

Just like the original Xu Guangling.

How can his heart be at ease?

So this thing, in addition to qualifications, in addition to luck, also pay attention to a condition.

"You have no connection with this Dao."

It's that simple.

Looking back on the past, Xu Guangling found that it was useful to read books like a dream in the library in those years.

For example, the parts of the Buddhist and Taoist Tibetans, although at that time I was just flipping through the pages at will, I often read less than one-tenth of a book, and omit the past, but as many as nine-tenths, but only that small part. content, but still broadened his horizons a lot.

This knowledge was naturally useless before.

   is completely useless.

But now that I have embarked on this road, the situation is naturally different. So when he returns this time, when he has time or has a reading plan, he will read it carefully again, whether it is Taoist or Buddhist.

I believe that there will be a lot of gains in it.

Taking a step back, even if it can't directly help him on the road to the great master, there is bound to be indirect inspiration.

Of course, Xu Guangling is also ready to pan for gold in the sand.

Judging from the few contents I remembered at this time, in the two collections, there are still a lot of misunderstood contents, even non-existent and random things. Fortunately, today he also has a considerable height to identify those things.

Perhaps it can also be said that now is the right time to look at those things.

It's no good to read it early.

Just like when Zhang Lao was at the beginning, he didn't want him to read those ancient and modern medical books, even the "Nei Jing"!

  …

From the point of view, Xu Guangling's thoughts stretched all the way, detouring a lot in the middle, and finally, he returned to the destination route, that is, "resting machine", and at this time, Xu Guangling already knew how to do it.

But he was still a little hesitant.

Because I'm not sure what the result will be.

This is the disadvantage of not having the guidance of a master and a master. It is also just like a sentence in the Taoist Tibetan that he has read, "Rao Jun is smarter than Yan Min, but if you don't meet a real teacher, don't think about it."

Because of the difference of a millimeter, it is a thousand miles away. One millimeter difference after another is superimposed, and the absurdity is more than thousands of miles. An important role of the teacher is to correct and correct the direction at any time.

is also because once the key point is guessed wrong, the consequences... may be serious.

Xu Guangling had a biography but no teacher.

Of course, he has a teacher, and he has two more. But the height he stood today has far surpassed the two old men, and the problems he faced were far beyond the two old men could solve.

Whether it is confirmation or experience, the two old people cannot reach the threshold he wants to cross today.

As for Qinghua Baozhuan, how should I put it, it is very cold, it is very arrogant, and the information it conveys to Xu Guangling is getting higher and higher in terms of level, but in terms of content, it is getting more and more Simpler.

Return to the fundamental method of the interest machine, how to return to the original? How to stop the machine? How to get through the fundamentals?

   These, naturally, are, um—

No.

After walking through Guiyuan, Xu Guangling didn't know what Guiyuan was until he actually achieved Guiyuan Consummation. And on the next machine, it is similar. Xu Guangling now has a strategy and needs to verify it.

The only difference between    and the previous Guiyuan is that the road to Guiyuan was flat and smooth, without any obstacles or danger.

And the machine is not a road.

It is a gate, or a gate, or a gate.

The gate where the carp jumped over the dragon gate.

skipped, naturally the fish turned into a dragon, and then the flying dragon was in the sky.

   Jump but what happens?

Hard to say.

may be to rest again, accumulate strength, adjust methods and means, and jump again. It may also be, um, directly turned into ashes, and there is no chance for a second jump.

Is it too cruel and cruel to say that?

   Not really.

   That is carp into dragon!

One should be grateful, one should be grateful, one should be in awe, there is such a law between heaven and earth, so that life can achieve unconventional leaps.

At this time, Xu Guangling suddenly remembered a passage in the Bible.

Well, in those years, he read every book, Laozi and Zhuangzi, Huayan Sutra, Shurangama Sutra, and the Bible. If there was a Koran in the library, he would also go there with interest. See, unfortunately not at the time.

"Go in by the narrow gate."

"For the gate is wide and the road is wide that leads to destruction, and many people enter it. The gate is narrow and the road is narrow that leads to life, and few find it."

That passage in the Bible says so.
